12th Italian KWD Webranking Awards – Milan, 13 December 2013


We are pleased to invite you to our annual Italian KWD Webranking Awards to recognise the winners of the 12th edition of the KWD Webranking Italy, conducted by KW Digital (digital division of Hallvarsson & Halvarsson) in collaboration with Lundquist. The results of the Italian research have been published.

 

When: Friday 13 December 2013, 9 AM – 1 PM

 

Where: Corriere della Sera, sala Dino Buzzati – Via Balzan (on the corner of Via San Marco), Milan

 

Beyond the buzzwords: making sense of trends in digital

 

The event will be an occasion to explain the purpose and findings of the 2013 KWD Webranking research and reflect on the state of online corporate communications in Italy and internationally. What are the latest trends in digital communications? What new corporate websites have been launched? Who has improved the most? Are companies using responsive design, mobile and social media? How do Italian companies perform against international peers?

 

In particular, we will cover the following topics:

  • Storytelling: what does it mean for corporate communication?
  • Big data: dismantling the hype
  • Interactive: have interactive reports reached the end of the road?
  • Mobile and apps: measuring the return of investment of mobile apps

Our guest speakers Elena Cortesi, Director of Earned & Social Media at Ford Europe, and Keith Childs, former Head of New Media at Opel Europe, will discuss how to create internal culture and coordination to manage social media and provide ongoing storytelling.

 

Since we have organised the KWD Webranking Awards to coincide with Saint Lucia’s feast day, we have invited the Nordiska Musikgymnasiet choir from Stockholm to sing traditional festive songs at our event. To extend the Nordic theme further, there will also be an enjoyable ‘Swedish corner’ with typical food products and glögg (mullled wine).

 

The event will conclude with a light lunch, offering the chance for participants to network and reflect on what they have heard in the course of the morning.

Lundquist is looking to recruit a graphic designer interested in corporate communications, social media and sustainability with a proven track record in both digital and print design.

 

The position will evolve over time. Initially, the main tasks will be to provide support with design and impagination for Lundquist research whitepapers,sustainability reports and other corporate documents, as well as general support for website and communication activities. Subsequently, the person will lead the work in developing a new corporate and digital identity of Lundquist as well as creative graphical solutions for our clients.

 

Ultimately, the aim is to develop a business area with its own revenue streams to reinforce the overall business proposition of Lundquist in Italy and abroad, including building a design team. The position is based in Milan.

Getting left behind? CSR communications in Switzerland undermined by low transparency

The performance of Swiss companies in the 7th edition of the CSR Online Awards is undermined by a lack of transparency, an issue that has not improved since our previous edition of the research two years ago.

 

The top of the ranking of 57 leading Swiss companies – published today in association with Bilanz magazine – remains little changed from the past. Nestlé maintains its dominance in the top spot (63.5 points), comfortably beating Roche (55.25) and Credit Suisse (52.5) into 2nd and 3rd place respectively. But the wider picture is marred by the fact that a majority of the companies we studied don’t meet basic levels of non-financial transparency on environmental, social and governance topics, either online or in formal reports.
